This policy explains what information may be handled when you use Best Free Online Tools Kit (BFOTKit) and its browser-based tools.

Files you choose in our tools

BFOTKit’s file renamer and ESRI ASCII Grid converter run in your browser. The selected files are read locally to prepare renamed copies or convert a grid into CSV. The tools do not upload file contents to BFOTKit as part of processing. The renamer does not change your original files.

Information collected by the website

BFOTKit does not require an account to use its tools. The site does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. Like most websites, the hosting service may process basic technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. The hosting provider’s own privacy terms also apply to that processing.

Downloads and your device

Your browser creates the renamed file copies and ZIP archive or the converted CSV download. The files remain subject to your browser and device limits. You choose where to save the downloaded output and how to use it.

Third party services

When you choose an EPSG coordinate system whose definition is not included in the converter, your browser requests that EPSG code’s PROJ definition from epsg.io. The grid files are not included in this request. Links to other websites may have their own privacy practices. BFOTKit is not responsible for the content or policies of external sites. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

This policy may be updated as BFOTKit changes. The effective date above shows when this version was published. Please review this page periodically for updates.
