PDF & PRINTING / GUIDE
Tile a PDF or image across A4 and Letter pages
Large patterns, posters, and drawings are often bigger than a home printer's paper. BFOTKit divides one PDF page or image into numbered A4 or US Letter tiles. Adjacent tiles share an overlap so you can trim and align them, and each sheet includes a 50 mm scale bar for checking the print size.
Keep the original physical size
A PDF page has a physical size encoded in points. At 100% scale, the tiler uses that size as the finished artwork size. For a JPG or PNG, pixel dimensions alone do not tell the tool how large you want the final print, so enter the finished width in millimeters. Height follows the image's aspect ratio.
Choose overlap and print
Select the target paper and orientation, then set overlap. Ten millimeters is a useful starting point. Download the tiled PDF and print all pages at Actual Size or 100%. Avoid Fit to Page, which changes scale. Measure the 50 mm bar with a physical ruler before trimming. Match the row and column labels to assemble the sheets.
What to check
A source PDF can already be at the wrong scale, so use its known dimensions or test square before tiling. The tool tiles one selected page at a time. Very large artwork can create many pages and use substantial browser memory. Files are processed locally and not uploaded to BFOTKit.
